He also appreciated both the countries for holding successful bilateral meetings which lead to improve relationship particularly in the field of trade, tourism and culture. Referring towards recent Pak-India talks, he said the two countries were successfully going ahead to maintain peace in the region, which was a good omen for their bilateral relations in future.
As part of such efforts, the minister pointed out that the new visa regime between two countries, would go a long way in bringing them closer and it would facilitate the people across the border. He said, "I request media of both sides to play proactive role by avoiding negativity, however it should play more positive role to improve relations between the two countries".
The minister said Pakistani authorities had arrested Hafiz Saeed, but the courts had to grant him bail for absence of evidence, adding, "If India has strong evidence against Hafiz Saeed for his alleged involvement in Bombay attacks, we could take action against him only on the basis of strong evidence".
